Where There's Smoke 2: When The Smoke Clears by Terra Little
Urban Books, February 2010
288 Pages, Paperback, $14.95
ISBN: 1601622627
Genre: Street Fiction

RAW Rating: 5.0 (out of 5)

Alec “Smoke” Avery and Breanne “Anne” Phillips’s flame still burns for each other after twenty years.  They begin to build a life together with their college-bound son, Isaiah and their newest bundle of joy, Iris.  However, where there’s smoke…there’s flaming drama.

Riding on a full scholarship, Isaiah leaves home to attend the college of his choice.  He excels in his classes, becomes a basketball star, and dates one of the most beautiful woman on campus.  Trouble is following Isaiah from back home and his college days and his life may be over.  When Smoke and Anne get wind, of this…well let’s just say nobody comes between a mother lion and her cub.  Will Smoke step back into his past to protect what belongs to him?

Although Smoke sometimes feels Anne doesn’t need him, the passion between them burns fiery, red-hot.  However, just when they are ready to become one, someone from Smoke’s past desperately wants to put that fire out and the truth which lead Anne down a destructive path so many years ago is finally brought to light.

Captivating, hilarious, and highly spiced, WHERE THERE’S SMOKE 2: When the Smoke Clears will keep you turning the pages non-stop.  The author brings the characters back with the same spunk and spitfire as in Where There’s Smoke.  The explosive scenes come to life and the love Anne holds for her family is well expressed.  Another great novel for urban fiction lovers but I recommend this novel to read by everyone.
