Sins Of The Mother by Victoria Christopher Murray
Touchstone, June 2010
379 Pages, Paperback, $15.00
ISBN: 141658918X
Genre: Fiction

RAW Rating: 5.0 (out of 5)

SINS OF THE MOTHER is a page-turner from the beginning to the end. Jasmine Larson Bush and her husband, Rev. Hosea Bush, experience every parent's nightmare when their daughter, Jacqueline, ends up missing from a seemingly routine outing to the mall. Jasmine is very anguished and distraught, as well she should be. Will this turmoil in her life cause her to go over the edge?

The situation becomes even more intense when Brian, Jacqueline's biological father, enters the picture. Although not a present influence in his daughter's life, Brian feels the need to help in the search to find her. Will an old flicker that Jasmine has for Brian be ignited into the flame it once was? Will Hosea lose his wife as well as his daughter?

A very pronounced mix of love, lust, faith and forgiveness are woven throughout this story, which is written in such a way the reader feels the emotions of each and every character. For those who have become entrenched in the saga of First Lady Jasmine Larson Bush, SINS OF THE MOTHER lives up to our expectations of Ms. Murray. It would be a welcomed gesture to let the readers know what happens next. Excellent read!
