Emerson McGee moves his new bride, Danielle, back to his hometown, Baton Rouge, to live in the house he inherits from his deceased grandmother, while he attends law school.  During his high school years, he was a star football player, yet since returning to Baton Rouge, he shuns any associations with his former classmates.  Danielle is dealing with issues of a different manner.  Something sinister is dwelling in the house with the couple and the entity is making its presence known to Danielle.

With each haunting from the spirit, Danielle discovers more about the dead boy with the beautiful green eyes, who is reaching out to her.  With each new discovery, she finds she knows less and less about the man, she married.  Emerson is at first concerned about her mental state, but is soon frustrated as Danielle shares more information about the ghost; telling information Emerson thought no one knew and was buried with the boy’s death.  As the spirit grows stronger, Danielle and Emerson both have to fight hard.  Danielle fights to find justice for a young man whose life was silenced too soon, while Emerson fights to keep the truth about him from being revealed.

NEVER DEAD is a tense, chilling tale of murder, revenge and retribution.  I did not want to put the book down until I knew all the details of what happened years before.  The book was predictable, yet not to the point that it revealed the story.  I was shocked when I found what really happened to the green-eyed boy. For lovers of the paranormal, you will enjoy this one.
