When Riley Stamper is invited by Asher Hudson to discuss an article she has written about his sports agency, she is not prepared for the request he makes of her. Ashers claim is that the article nearly cost him the reputation of his business, but Rileys stance is firmshe is not apologizing for publishing an article backed up by thorough research done on her part. In light of the serious matter at hand, the attraction sizzles in the air between them. The powerful pull leads them to endure a long distance relationship which tests their patience and their love. Asher wants Riley to move to Phoenix with him permanently. It would seem that marriage is the solution, but both have careers theyve worked so hard for and so the stress of living apart takes a toll on this ambitious couple. Will the emotional baggage and past secrets get the best of them before they get their priorities in order?
I really enjoyed this sweet romance from Ms. Washington. The characters were very realistic. There was even a subplot that delved into the love lives of the secondary characters. I would recommend HUDSONS CROSSING to anyone who appreciates a love story where the couple must truly face roadblocks and make life-changing decisions to achieve their happily ever after.
