The Chases are known as a powerful and elite family in the black community of View Park. They appear to have everything in order, but when family betrayals and secrets become intense, they're faced with the fact they may have gone too far.
Carter Chase has lived by his standards most of his life and usually gets what he wants. What he wants is to make Avery pay for hurting him. He is successful in hurting her, but he may have done more damage than he meant. He has to decide whether to continue to make Avery suffer or let her go.
Michael Chase has spent most of his adult life trying to please his father and it cost him dearly. He's now faced with trying to get his life and priorities in order. Things are getting better for him, when one of his twin sons suffers a fatal illness. He becomes determined more than ever to get back what he lost.
Leigh Chase tries to avoid drama at all cost. After her relationship with a high profile movie star ends in disaster, she takes a break from the dating scene. When her path crosses with the Republican's party new golden child, she has to decide if she will listen to her mind or heart.
GONE TOO FAR by Angela Winters is the fifth installment of the View Park series. While each book in the series can stand alone, I'm glad I read all the previous books to get an understanding of what was happening and recommend readers do the same. Ms. Winters delivered a drama with a soap opera feel from beginning to end. She portrayed each character's stories vividly and fervently, making me feel as if I were a part of the story. I kept reading with anticipation to see if my predictions were correct or not and was surprised with the outcome. I was delighted about the ending; however, I was a bit saddened this may be the end of the series.
