CROWD OF ONE by Naceema Simira is Samantha "Sami" Monroe's story. She lost her parents when she was quite young and was raised by her very caring  grandparents. She just graduated from high school when tragedy struck again. She found herself alone in this world, but she didn't let that get her down. She completed her degree, landed a good job and even a man, but was Derrick the one for her?

She began to have her doubts and one night, while he was asleep, she packed up and left, moving to Atlanta. There she met a nice lady. Her landlord suggested a wonderful young man to help her move her things into her apartment. She got a job also and was doing well until things began to fall apart again. She sank deeply into depression but her new man wouldn't just let it happen. He stayed with her, attempting to feed her. Only time will tell if she'll be able to make a comeback from this tragedy.

Naceema Samira wrote a very interesting novel about loneliness in this world and how to overcome it. The novel captivates you from page one and as each tragedy occurs, you find yourself wondering how she is going to pull out of this latest disaster. I found myself unable to put it down, even when I had others things that needed to be done. There was suspense as well as deep empathy for Sami. It is well worth reading.
