Zaire Jones and Shantel Davis are the popular couple on campus.  Zaire is physically built, plays football, and Shantel is beautiful and smart.  She is the ying to his yang, bringing a peaceful balance to his life; a life once filled with turmoil.  Other women try to come between them, but Zaire always declares his love to Shantel, until a dark cloud from the past casts a shadow over their relationship and lines are crossed.

Derrick Johnson is a player on the field and off who never takes anything seriously; however, he wants to find someone special like his friend Zaire.  When he sees Niya for the first time, his first thoughts are will he marry her or will she be just another conquest?  As they spend more time getting to know each other, he believes they can share something real, but deep inside his heart truly aches for someone else.

WHEN NO MEANS YES is a page turner overflowing with drama and humor on a college campus.  Each character is given a breath of life as Howard allows them to tell their own story.  The novel’s explosive ending will shock its reader, leaving an opening for a sequel.
