WESTMORELAND'S WAY by Brenda Jackson introduces the Westmoreland’s of Denver.  They are the long lost relatives of the Atlanta Westmorland’s.  In this offering, real estate tycoon Dillon Westmoreland travels to Wyoming to find the truth behind the rumors of his great-grandfather’s past as a wife stealer.  Dillon’s great-grandfather Raphae,l was a twin who left Atlanta with a woman and was never heard from again.  Through genealogy research, an Uncle finds Dillon and his fourteen other cousins of the Denver clan, and a reunion began.

Upon arriving in Wyoming, Dillon visits with Pam Novak, the great-granddaughter of Raphael’s business partner.  Pam allows Dillon to review boxes and boxes of materials stored in her attic which may hold some insight into his great grandfather’s life.  Pam is in the midst of marrying someone for financial reasons to the dismay of her younger sisters, whom she is raising.  What ensues is a war of wits between Pam, her sisters, Dillon and Fletcher, Pam’s fiancé’.

Brenda Jackson’s connecting novels are a treat to read.  The men are strong and honorable, the women independent; throw in the children, and you have a brood which provides hours of entertainment.  The Westmorland clan of Atlanta provided intrigue and the Westmoreland’s of Denver are bound to do the same.  Some believe romance novels are cliché with their happily ever after endings.  I for one enjoy this because sometimes we need to see or read a feel good ending.  This is vintage Brenda Jackson.
