Lloyd Daley began his life with his mother, grandmother and an aunt who had children of her own so he had companionship. What he really wanted and needed was a father in his life. The bullies at school would chase him home and beat him. One day he decided to stand up to them. All the school applauded him for getting rid of them. His education was spotty at best because he wasn't always allowed to go to school, especially at 11 years old when he went to live with his father. His father was a man who felt farm work was more important than Lloyd's schooling. Lloyd did remember what his mother and grandmother had told him - he could overcome adversity. At 17, he decided he'd had enough and he left his father's house. His problems didn't stop but he was very good at dealing with them.

Lloyd S. Daley, Sr. has written a fascinating book about overcoming adversity no matter how bad it is. He was forced, throughout life to deal with various issues, yet he managed to get an education and good jobs. People who were jealous of him, caused him problems on his jobs but he managed to overcome and he was a good father to his children. This is a must read book. It gives such good advice to those who need it and even those who think they don't. It lets you know how to 'let go and let God' take care of it.
