Whose World Is It?
In the 1965, the late, great James Brown said, "This is a man's world but it wouldn't be nothing without a woman or a girl." Some forty-three years later Pastor Shante Dogan is learning a hard lesson while working in a man's world. Take the journey with lady pastor Shante who is as polished as they come -- educated, amazing attitude, crossing every "T" and doting every "I", but learns it does not pay off when working in a man's world.
K. T. Richey delves deep into the stereotypes imposed on ladies who have been called to preach God's word. Attempting to find a balance between serving God and keeping people happy, leaving us with many questions? Can the single lady preacher have dinner with a single male preacher, dance with him, or even go to the movies with the blessings of her peers, or will she be look upon as less than desirable to preach God 's word. Ms. Richey charter development of the heroin and the secondary characters was awesome she allowed you to see and feel their pain, anger, joy, happiness and sorrow. Each character tugged at an emotion and I was there pulling for the situation to change.
THE LADY PREACHER was placed in the romance genre, for me it was a Christian romance, no matter the genre, it is an excellent read and one you will enjoy.
