Young. Sexy. Lucrative job. It may seem that FBI Agent Deidre Apontes life paints the perfect picture, but what goes on behind the scenes during and after office hours gets very complicated. Family matters, including an alcoholic mother and the suicide of her father, weighs on her conscious while she earns the privilege of working a case that could further her career; finding out who kidnapped a New York senators daughter. Deidre must enter a lifestyle of glamour, glitz, and danger in an attempt to break this case. She becomes involved with F.A.B., three known female drug dealers. Entering this arena could prove to be a deadly mistake for Deidre because as she becomes grossly involved with F.A.B., she soon discovers some shocking facts that connects the dots about her past. Will it be too late for Deidre or will she be silenced forever?
HUSH was a cross between a mystery and a thriller and I enjoyed the overall plotline. The story was very fast-paced which is what kept me turning the pages. The author left lots of clues throughout the novel which would allow any reader to speculate and come to their own conclusions about what might happen. The clues had gotten a little too predictable at the end, but I still feel that HUSH was worth the read.
