'There is a battle we all must face and pain we must endure, in order to grow strong'; realities like these are some of the reasons Ms. Turner wanted to share this book.   With rhymes, songs and poems she hopes to encourage and stimulate in a positive way.

The poem selections are categorized under four major headings, and while each poem has a definitive message, I selected one from each heading that called out to me.  From Love, Romance, Relationships and Compassion I selected Web of Love, from Historical, Real Life Stories I selected Suicide or Homicide, from Comedic I selected Buck Wild, and from Miscellaneous and Hardcore I selected Guilty Before Proven Innocent.

HALF OF THE BATTLE IS TO SURRENDER ALL I HAVE is a secular book which hopefully will prove to be a doorway, an opening  to images of humanity.  Turner’s  underlying message is that  she will ultimately  direct someone to the Lord.
