Saving Tracy
No matter how hard life gets you can prevail with prayer. That is the message author Tracy Moody-Williams presents in GHETTO TO GODLY. The true story of her battle with drugs, disobedience, promiscuity and good versus evil is a strong testimony of what God can do. Tracy tells the story of the role Christianity played in her family life.
As Tracy battled drug addiction, bad relationships and promiscuity, she could not see the value in being a Christian or the role that having a relationship with God played in her mother’s life as her mother raised three children without a husband or a job. Yet, they were the best dressed children in the projects and never went without food. Tracy loved and yearned for the street life. She enjoyed the drugs and hurtful relationships thinking that life for her could get no better, until she called out for help from God. As you read her testimony, you find yourself wondering why people put themselves in these kinds of situations.
Although I enjoyed reading GHETTO TO GODLY, it was hard to read page after page without paragraph breaks. Otherwise, it was an okay read. This book did not come off as preachy. Instead, it showed that with acceptance of a higher power, change for the better is inevitable.
