Building Wealth Through Real Estate
Carl Agard always felt there were three types of people; those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who say "What happened?" From his early teen years, he decided which type he wanted to be. While growing up in the roughest projects in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, he also knew he did not want to follow the path of family members and friends. A scholarship to Syracuse University was the impetus to give roots to his dreams.
When Agard's position as a territorial salesman with an Health Insurance Company lost value in its stock, he was laid off. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, with the severance package, he had the finances and the time to devote to his real estate business, which he'd started after graduation from college. He got his Real Estate Broker's License and went on to fulfill his dream.
In GETTING THE REAL OUT OF REAL ESTATE Agard shares his knowledge and proven techniques that turn assumptions into reality and investments into profit. Terms like foreclosures, short sales, equity loans, lines of credit, credit scores, realtors, loan officers, appraisers and 1031 exchanges take on a life of their own. Anyone desiring to invest in investment property or simply buy a home for the first time will appreciate this book. It answers everything you wanted to know about real estate, but didn't know to ask. Agard also gives readers an extra bonus with Chapter 6, The Untapped World of Commercial Real Estate, and a glossary worth its weight in gold.
