After reading BIG PICTURE OF THE BIBLE, I asked a friend in the ministry to read it and give me his thoughts. When he returned the book he had high praise for how it was crafted. His observations: it is an excellent reference and more specifically, just what a novice to the Gospel needs.
BIG PICTURE OF THE BIBLE is a summary of Bible stories, with events organized in historical sequence, which provide continuity and a better understanding into the purpose of and the messages in the Old Testament. It emphasizes Jesus' role in fulfilling God's Plan of Redemption and Salvation.
Ms. Nichols aptly states BIG PICTURE OF THE BIBLE is not a replacement for reading the bible, rather a supplement to it. She urges readers to experience the presence of God and allow Him to reveal Himself through His Word, the Bible. Also, she hopes to inspire spiritual growth as readers learn the Hebrew names of God, His Character, and His love. Hopefully readers will close the book with the tools to know how long, how wide, how high and how deep the love of God spans, and will have decided to enjoy a more personal relationship with Him.
I recommend BIG PICTURE OF THE BIBLE: Old Testament to anyone who seeks an easier way to learn more about the Bible. You will gain inscites into both Testaments.
